Recent Seminars

What a great day we had today up at the PennsWoods Decorative Painting Chapter in Pennsylvania. We had about 30-35 individuals that joined us to do a little Fusion painting (instructor/teacher, David Vernon). Some used ceramic bisque Pillow Vases, some used wood surfaces and some used canvas. We had a great time introducing DecoArt's Traditions and the Scharff Brushes to all the attendees along with the Fusion Blending technique. I have posted some pictures here of the class and some of the pieces that were painted. A great time.

We would like to thank PennWoods for giving us the opportunity to paint with them today. I think the pieces turned out absolutely great. Ready nice.

David Vernon's teaching piece finished.

This past weekend we had a seminar at our studio with guest artist David Jansen. I wanted to share some of the comments that we have received from the attendees. We appreciate so much their comments, their friendship and their business. Check out the comments below:

"Thank you so much for your hospitality this past weekend. Good company, good classes, gracious hosts and great food.  I appreciate so much your dedication to excellence in the decorative painting community. My very best wishes for continued success with Pampered Palette". (Susan M.)

"The seminar was WONDERFUL - and we need to thank you for sponsoring David to come to teach us. It was the best seminar I have been to in 10 years. So, again THANK YOU VERY MUCH". (Bennie P.)
...
"Thank you both for providing such a wonderful painting experience. What a treat to have David Jansen teach practically in my backyard". (Susan V.)

"I had a lovely time. Thank you". (Rickie S.)

"What a blast! I have learned so much in 3 days. Thank you for pampering us with great food and gifts while we learned from the fantabulous David Jansen". (Bobbie B.)

"Greatest seminar ever! Lot of laughs, terrific food, incredible lectures!". (Kristina R.)

"What a great weekend with good friends!  Learning painting techniques from David Jansen, eating fabulous food, meeting new people, having a great studio to paint in, and oh, my, the gifts just kept coming from Pampered Palette.  I particularly love my new painting apron.  Now I won't want to get any paint on it!  We were certainly pampered!  Your Pampered Palette name is so appropriate.

I am so glad I finally was able to attend a seminar in your most welcoming and comfortable environment and look forward to more".

(Jackie N)

"Pampered Palette is a "Class Act".  Enjoyed the seminar and appreciated David's teaching style.  "Pampered Palette" is definitely a well organized and run operation along with making you feel welcome and of course pampered.  Thank you".  (Nancy G)

I will say, this was one of the best seminars I have ever been to if not the best.  Good friends, wonderful food, great teach and wonderful host.  Thank you so much for everthing. (Becky B.)

Again, we would like to thank all 23 individuals that joined us for this great seminar making it such a HUGE success.

For those of you that were unable to attend our seminar, then maybe we will see you soon at another seminar sponsored by Pampered Palette. Don't you think you need to be "pampered" at your next seminar? Join us and you will see how Pampered Palette is different.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Well what do you do when they are calling for a hurricane in your area? Well we got together and painted with Sandy Scales. Yes, thankfully the hurricane did not slam the Northern Virginia as we were expecting and when the weather forecasters indicated that we would only get some moderate rain and wind, we decided to go ahead with our Seminar. We had a fantastic time painting a beautiful Blue Folk Art pattern (unpublished) by Maureen McNaughton. This beautiful seminar piece took two solid days to complete and all of us were just a little bit tired when the seminar came to an end. That was a lot of painting in a two day period. Oh I forgot to mention that we did eat a little as we had homemade lazagna, Pampered Palette Slaw, brownies, apple/caramel/spice coffee cake, freshly baked Red Velvet cookies and a glass of Champagne. What a great weekend we had with Sandy. We would like to thank our friends from North Carolina that drove up for the seminar. A good time was had by all.

Seminar was held August 27 & 28, 2011 at Pampered Palette

What can we say about Tatiana?  This has to be one of the best seminars we have had all year.  We had three days of intense Zhostovo painting instruction from one of the greatest Master Artist from Russia (Tatiana Sholohkova).  Tatiana arrived this past Thursday ready to lead the class for three full days of painting fun.

The seminar was SO successful that we plan to have Tatiana back next year to provide instruction on one of her BEAUTIFUL trays.  More to come on dates and lesson plans later.  Right now, we would like to share a few pictures with all of our friends.

Be pampered during your next seminar by joining us at Pampered Palette.  What a great time we had.

Not a Seminar but a great class!

On July 17th and July 24th we had a great class at the Pampered Palette Studio.  We introduced Fusion Blending, scroll work and lots of daisies to attendees that join us for lots of painting and fun.

The lesson was a David Vernon design and pattern, taught by David Vernon.  Check out the pictures below.  Everyone did an absolutely FANTASTIC job.

For those that were unable to attend, we will be offering Fusion Blending classes again at Pampered Palette during August  and October 2011.  Watch this website for news concerning additional classes and all other scheduled seminars.

Scottie Foster's June 2011 Seminar

A great seminar and a great time was had by everyone that attended.  We had homemade lasgna, bread, brownies and we capped the whole weekend off with a little Champagne.  Thank you Scottie for a GREAT weekend.

As a special gift to all attendees from Pampered Palette, each attendee received a FREE copy of one of David Jansen's DVDs.  The group plans to schedule a date in the near future to get together and paint the lesson directly from the DVD, as a group.  Now how neat is that?

For those that were unable to attend, Scottie will be back at Pampered Palette June 2012 with a new and exciting lesson.  Watch this website for news concerning next year's Scottie Foster seminar and all other scheduled seminars.
