PAMPERED PALETTE

Some of you may find this a little odd but I am attempting to do some pieces outside my decorative art seminars/classes and outside my comfort zone.  To do that, I purchased the DVD 4007 set from Jansen Art Studio titled 'The Art of Peter Ompir'.  I posted progress pictures throughout the painting cycle.  I would recommend any of the Jansen Art Studio DVD series.  They are a great addition to your library.

I am currently working on this Strawberry and Daisy Plate.  I absolutely love the look of the finished piece.  

Worked on the outer rim of the plate.  The color really is a mix of Nap. Red, Nap. Red Light, Burnt Umber and Raw Umber.  The flash changes the colors a little.  Next step is antiquing the floral parts.

This is a great DVD series with step by step instruction by David Jansen, MDA.  The series contains a CD with full size patterns, instrucitons and step photos.

I would recommend any of David's DVD series .  He has a great set on Color Theory if you are interested in understanding color.
